Paver and flagstone patios are durable and beautiful options for patio spaces, sidewalks and driveways.  Flagstone blends naturally with its surroundings, providing an irregular pattern with a timeless look.   Pavers provide a smoother surface and are rated for more pressure (8000psi) than standard concrete by allowing flexibility to the surface.  Where concrete cracks, pavers excel.   Pavers are designed to allow for normal expansion and contraction of the ground and each joint allows movement, displacing the pressure on the surrounding area.   Stamped concrete and concreted slabs crack due to ground expansion, movement and settling.   If work needs to be done below the surface, the pavers can be removed and utility, foundation or other work completed and the original pavers can be  reinstalled for a seamless, undisturbed look without repair patches.

Segmental retaining walls and tiers prevent erosion, eliminate hillsides and provide for beautiful, functional landscapes.  Each block is engineered to interlock providing a rock solid solution for the long term.  The blocks are designed to allow for normal expansion and contraction of the ground and stand the test of time.

Sprinkler system maintenance and installation

A quality sprinkler system starts with proper design.   Head placement, zone layout and design coverage are critical to providing even water.   Uneven water can cause fungus and disease issues and stressed turf, waste water and cause frustration.   Don’t waste money on a system that isn’t designed to water correctly and to last.   Installing both Rainbird and Hunter components allows us to utilize the best components for you.

Sprinkler system startups include closing any drain valves or ports, pressurizing system, check all zones for proper operation, adjust sprinkler heads and program sprinkler controller (system repairs additional)

Sprinkler winterizations include evacuating water in all sprinkler zones with compressed air, opening drain valves and draining or removing backflow preventer.

Fertilizer and weed control programs

A healthy lawn will endure the summer heat, reduce weeds and provide beauty and value to your property.    A proper fertilizer and weed control program will address the overall health of your lawn by providing proper nutrients and addressing weeds, grubs and other issues at the correct time.   Below is a description of each visit and service throughout the season:

Early Spring Pre-Emergent Weed Control and Fertilizer: Application of a pre-emergent herbicide for control of grassy weeds and a broadleaf weed control of grassy weeds. Application includes fertilizer with pre emergent weed control.

Mid-Spring Pre-Emergent Weed Control and Fertilizer: Second application of a pre-emergent herbicide for control of grassy weeds and a broadleaf weed control. An iron supplement with micronutrients will also be added to improve summer hardiness.

Early Summer Fertilizer: Application of a time released balanced fertilizer and broadleaf herbicide treatment as needed

Early Summer Grub Control: Application of season long grub and insect control. 

*Please note steps 3 and 4 (early summer fertilizer and early summer grub control) are applied at the same time and service date.

Late Summer Fertilizer and Weed Control: Application of a time released balanced fertilizer and broadleaf herbicide; spot treatment as needed. Rejuvenates turf and strengthens the lawn along with thorough weed control.

Late Fall: Application of a quick release nitrogen fertilizer to promote extended green color into the late fall and early winter and provide a strong root system throughout the winter and ensure early spring green up.

Winterizer: Application of nitrogen fertilizer to nourish the soil and develop a strong root system throughout the winter assuring early spring green up and a lush lawn the following year.
