Sticks ‘N Stones Landscape is a culmination of my life in horticulture.  I was raised with plants – literally.   My family began propagating plants in our living room when I was young, taking up our big picture frame window with shelves & rows of florescent bulbs in the early spring.   Seedlings grew and we were soon outside planting the rewards.   These are some of my earliest memories of home life as a youngster.

With a living room no longer large enough to contain both our family and our plants, my father purchased Ideal Nursery when I was just 13.   More greenhouses and shade frames were soon added to provide additional growing and propagation space.  During this time I was able to glean knowledge from  the experience in seeding, growing and maintaining plants.  My father’s wealth of knowledge in responding to customer’s questions about their lawn, trees, shrubs and flowers was instrumental in providing me the understanding, knowledge and working experience to take to others.

Utilizing my background and experience, I began working as a landscape contractor for residential, commercial and municipal customers.  As a contractor I’ve gained the experience of working in the field with crews installing, maintaining and repairing sprinkler systems; creating fertilizer and weed control programs to maintain hundreds of lawns; diagnose plant and turf pests and diseases; and my favorite - the opportunity to design and install award winning landscapes, patios and outdoor kitchen projects.   I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to work with some of the best in the business, learning and sharing along the way.

Through this process, I’ve discovered my greatest passion is working with people to create the outdoor of their dreams.
